2. Application principle:
WMZ11B powerless PTC thermistor is a series combination of a delay type PTC thermistor with appropriate resistance and Curie temperature and a varistor with appropriate switching voltage and flow rate to become a powerless PTC thermistor. Resistor, used to replace the ordinary thermistor PTC thermistor in electronic ballasts and electronic energy-saving lamps. Its function process is as follows: when the power is turned on, the open-circuit output voltage of the electronic ballast (generally around 1000VP-P) causes the varistor to conduct. A conductive current flows through the filament to preheat it. Properly select the resistance value, volume and Curie temperature of the PTC thermistor so that the PTCR resistance value in the power-free PTC thermistor suddenly increases to a high resistance state within 0.4s-2s. In this way, on the one hand, the flow rate of the varistor is limited, and on the other hand, the power-free PTC thermistor preheating branch is close to open circuit. At this time, the series resonant circuit composed of L and C starts to vibrate, and the resonant voltage increases to Light the lamp. After the lamp is lit, it has negative resistance characteristics. The voltage at both ends of the lamp drops to the normal working voltage of the lamp. The working voltage of the lamp is generally much lower than the switching voltage of the selected varistor. Therefore, After the lamp is turned on, the non-power consumption thermistor turns off itself and is in a "leisure state". The power-free PTC thermistor uses the delay characteristics of the PTC thermistor to complete the filament preheating time and the current limiting characteristics of the PTC thermistor to protect the varistor from being burned out due to "overload"; it also uses the varistor The resistance switch voltage characteristics and the negative resistance characteristics of the fluorescent tube satisfy the preheating current and turn off the preheating circuit. In this way, the series complex of the varistor and PTCR - the power-free PTC thermistor - can complete the preheating and "turn-off" functions of the fluorescent lamp filament. During use, when the power is turned on, the smart thermistor will preheat the filament through current.
